The MiK Jugendkunstschule prize has been awarded for over 20 years with the support of the Mitte school authority, and this year it will be presented in three age groups (12–14 / 15–17 / 18–22) for the first time.

With the Youth Art Prize, the MiK Jugendkunstschule aims to promote young talent from different social backgrounds in their artistic development and give them a stage to express their ideas, feelings and perspectives. Through public visibility, we not only honour the artworks, but also the young artists themselves – and encourage them to continue on their artistic path. At the same time, the prize is seen as an investment in the cultural future of our society.

On display is a large selection of works submitted by young artists, ranging from analogue photography to collage, film, graffiti, painting, sculpture and drawing.
