Kunstwoche 2024: 10 Days of Art and Inspiration
The Kunstwoche der Kommunalen Galerien Berlin (Berlin Municipal Galleries Art Week) kicks off the autumn art season in Berlin. From August 30 to September 8, over 400 artists present 36 exhibitions in 32 galleries representing the full range of approaches from painting, photography, graphic art, sculpture, to video and sound art, installations, performances, and conceptual art. Kunstwoche offers deep insights into the city’s multifaceted art scene with exhibitions addressing themes such as people and nature, architecture, space, and urbanism.
Alongside nine exceptional exhibition openings, Kunstwoche is hosting a variety of other events. Music fans can see performances by musicians who also work as contemporary artists, in the Sounds program. The Tours program is a great way to visit selected municipal galleries for an impression of how they work, and the Young program, aimed at children, young people, families, pre-school and school groups, offers workshops in various galleries across different districts.
