Susanne Ring: Körper Speicher Tempel

Susanne Ring (* 1966) creates enigmatic beings from fired clay, which are recognisable as physical figures through simple features such as head, arms and legs, but which nevertheless do not duplicate prototypical patterns. Bodies are not grown organisms here, but fragile shells that have themselves become figures as mediating boundaries between the individual and the outside world. But instead of answering the question of whether human corporeality is a curse or a blessing, they embody the right to non-identity and ambivalence in the truest sense of the word

Büro für kuratorische Praxis: Artministration

The curators Julia Heunemann and Ulrike Riebel focus on contexts of administrative processes of making art, archiving art and selecting artists. This ties up resources such as time, space and budget, which in turn both promotes and limits the possibilities for developing and realising ideas. The exhibition develops continuously during its duration as a performative curatorial process with the active participation of the visitors.
