With Yala Juchmann and Konrad Mühe
Yala Juchmann’s Gelegenheit und Praxis: Von der Hand in den Mund (2021) addresses infrastructures of artistic work. In her assemblage, framed by a screen made of construction fence elements, Juchmann presents her own works from past years, as well as the work Löffel als Genoss:innen, by the artist Cornelia Herfurtner. Konrad Mühle’s sculptures negotiate the representation of hierarchical gestures of exercising power and suggest an imaginary search for oneself. Arkadi (2021) and Johannes (2019) represent human figures – with bodies made of steel shelves and heads made of beamers.
Yala Juchmann, *1984 in Sauerland. Studied fine arts in Berlin, New York and Helsinki. Exhibitions and projects on transformation, body, light and material
Konrad Mühe, *1982 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, lives and works in Berlin. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions at venues including the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf and Kunsthalle Rostock, as well as at international film festivals such as the Berlin International Film Festival, Oberhausen and CPH-Dox.
