Sultan Al-Qassemi is the founder of the Barjeel Art Foundation, an independent initiative that promotes the intellectual development of the art scene in the Arab region. He currently teaches at Bard College Berlin and is completing a fellowship at the Wissenschaftskolleg in Berlin.
Together with Hani Zaitoun, Sultan Al-Qassemi organises the event series “The Berlin Cultural Majlis.” This series of talks offers artists from the Arab world living in Berlin and Europe a platform to show their work and discuss it with the audience.
